“Shawnee”  Dads big helper!                                  Sadie
Shannon and Wendi not only share a love for horses but also for
their k-9 companions.  In addition to a few family pets, we have
rescued numerous dogs and puppies from bad, and in some
cases, near death situations.  We look for suitable homes for
most of the rescues but several still live with and will remain with
us.

"Koko Knoll" K-9 Rescue is currently at full capacity with 22
dogs under our care.  As you can imagine the cost of making
sure all of the dogs are healthy and well fed is astronomical.
Before dogs are placed in new homes they receive a veterinary
check up, current vaccinations and are spayed or neutered.  We
can always use donated items such as dog houses, dog
kennels, blankets to put in dog houses for warmth, collars,
leashes, etc.   We also accept monetary donations to help with
veterinary expenses.  If you would like to contribute you can do
so by contacting us or clicking here                                to donate
using Paypal.  Our "Available Dogs" page is currently under
construction but if you would like information on dogs available
for adoption please feel free to contact us.  We do our best to
evaluate each dog and offer honest opinions about each dogs
personality and suitability for your situation.
Honey Bear (Rescued)
Honey was dumped at Shannon's shop starving, dehydrated and
almost lifeless.  Just look at her now!
Buddy (Rescued)
Buddy had been hit or drug by a car.  He
suffered a broken shoulder, severe
damage to the pads of his feet and was
very underweight.

He is back on his feet now and his
primary purpose is to keep our property
bunny and coyote free!

Ruffie was found
malnourished
and tick infested
as a puppy.  She
can now be
found at her
post atop a
round bale
watching over
the place.
Shasta (left) and Brandi (right)  (Rescued)
Shasta is a retired champion show dog whose
owner no longer had a use for her, and Brandi
was rescued from a horrific puppy mill-type
environment where she was living on a 2 foot
chain which was also wrapped around her
neck.

Gizzy  (Rescued, placed)
Gizzy was rescued from an owner who
was going to shoot her because she
wouldn't quit dragging the family's
shoes off the porch.  She lived with us
for a short time until a perfect match
was made.  Gizzy now lives with her new
owner and is quite spoiled by her new
family.   Don't believe me?  Just look at
the smile on this dog's face!!
Beamer (Rescued)
How could you not love this sweet face!
Beamer was on "death row" at a local
animal shelter when he came to us.  He
is a sweet boy who's main concern is
making his people laugh.  He can be
found patrolling the barn for mice!
Ruffie (Rescued)
Katie (left) and Zilla (right) (Rescued)
Zilla came to us 6 years ago from a family who "didn't
know how big a rottweiler puppy would get.  He is a
sweet sweet boy who watches Wendi's every move and
never lets her get out of his site.  Katie, our most recent
rescue was nearing the end of her time limit at a local
animal shelter.  She is a fabulous dog with a personality
that will have you laughing till it hurts.  Both are insanely
loyal despite their history's and are special members of
the family.
We would like to extend a big thank
you to who have donated items or
funds to help care for the dogs at
